Adults use Clobex Lotion to treat a variety of skin conditions. Clobex reduces the swelling, itching and redness that can occur in these conditions. This medication is a very strong (super-high-potency) corticosteroid. This medication is not recommended for children younger than 18 due to an increased risk of side effects.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use Clobex Lotion exactly as directed.
Your skin condition should improve during the first two weeks of your treatment. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve during this time.
To use Clobex Lotion, apply a small amount of lotion to cover the affected skin area with a thin, even film and rub it in gently.
This medication is only for use on the skin. Do not let Clobex get into your eyes or mouth, and do not swallow it. Avoid use in the genital and rectal areas, skin creases, and armpits unless directed by your doctor.
Do not apply other skin preparations or products to the treated area without talking with your doctor.
Do not wrap or bandage the treated area unless your doctor tells you to. Such use may increase side effects.
Using too much Clobex Lotion or using it for a long time may increase your risk of having adrenal gland problems. The risk is greater for children and patients who use large amounts for a long time. Talk to your doctor right away if you or your child have more than one of these symptoms while you are using this medicine:
Check with your doctor immediately if blurred vision, difficulty with reading, or any other change in vision occurs during or after treatment. Your doctor may want your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist (eye doctor).
Check with your doctor right away if you or your child have a skin rash, burning, stinging, swelling, or irritation on the skin.
Clobex Lotion may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
