What is Tradjenta?

Tradjenta contains the medication linagliptin and is used to control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. Tradjenta should be used along with lifestyle choices such as a proper diet and exercise program. Linagliptin should not be used in people with type 1 diabetes.

Always read the patient information and instructions carefully before using this medication. Follow your doctor’s directions.

  • Take Tradjenta orally either with or without food. It is typically taken once a day.
  • Your Tradjenta dosage is based on your medical condition, other medications that you take and your response to treatment. Do not change your dosage or the frequency you take this medication unless advised by a doctor.
  • Check your blood sugar regularly and keep a track of your results to share with your doctor.
