What is Evista?

Evista contains raloxifene and is prescribed for postmenopausal women in order to prevent and treat osteoporosis and to reduce the risk of invasive breast cancer. Raloxifene is not an estrogen hormone although it acts like estrogen in some body parts such as in your bones and affects the cycle of bone formation and breakdown in the body and reduces the loss of bone tissue.
